Centre for Knowledge
Thiruvalluvar University, Knowledge Centre started functioning from year 2019, offer various service to the students, research scholars and faculty members. The main aim of this Centre is to provide support to fulfil the vision and mission of the university. All correspondence related to Knowledge Centre to be addressed to.
Role
- Coordination with the UGC & other funding agencies for various grants towards the establishment of effective Knowledge Centre, to support research activities and projects in all the departments of the University.
- Coordination of procurement of e- resources and other materials required by different stake holders of the University.
- To analyse all fiscal requirements for Knowledge Centre and execute strategies to achieve the same.
- Develop and implement various plans to ensure effective and smooth functioning of Knowledge Centre and other related works.
- Monitor all objectives and strategic goals for operations and finances and ensure the achievement of the same.
- Coordinate with the university department faculty members and collect the e-content and other course materials developed by them and make it available for the use of student community.
- To create Institutional repository to store the in- house publications like course syllabus, course materials, university annual work calendar, Convocation programmes, conference/seminar materials, articles and books published by faculty members, video lecturer by our faculty members, e- content developed by faculty etc.
- Collaborate with other Directors, HODs and administrative authorities for Knowledge Centre activities.
- Provide support and services to all the students and fulfil the academic needs and demands through Knowledge centre.
- Supervise effective working of all subordinates and provide managerial assistance to all and develop team spirit
- To monitor all the works related to the Knowledge Centre and be an overall in charge of the staff working in this centre.
